Aquaculture Europe 2020 will take place ONLINE from April 12-15, 2021.
The basic format of the event will stay the same as ‘normal’ Aquaculture Europe meetings, with morning plenary sessions and then breakout parallel sessions for oral and Eposter presentations. The parallel sessions will be made up of shorter slots for pre-recorded video presentations of the oral presentations and with time allocated to review Eposters and for Q&A.
AE2020 ONLINE will also feature an e-Market, where vendors and media partners will have a dedicated place online to present their products, link to their website and have a chat-box to interact with attendees and set up meetings. Two categories of e-Market participation are proposed. The first is "VENDOR" with extensive benefits. The second is "HEADLINE VENDOR" with more enhanced opportunities. Details of these are provided on the AE2020 web site.
All presentations (oral videos and Eposters) and the e-Market will be available for a 30-day period after the event for attendees to see online. This ensures that attendees will not miss a presentation that they would have otherwise missed with a busy programme in a physical event. During that period, contact with the presenter will also be facilitated, complementing the live Q&A during the conference days.
April 2021 Online
The scope of this session will be to address the advantages and disadvantages of the disinfection protocols in RAS (for example use of ozone, UV), management of microbial communities and biosecurity.
Panellists will give their insights into the value of data from cameras, sensors and probes and other devices for real-time monitoring of RAS and how this can contribute to optimal system management.
While RAS technology has improved rapidly over recent years, understanding of the interactions between fish and RAS environment remain limited. This session will review and discuss some of these challenges.
